Ingredients
6 Halibut Steaks or fillets
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1 cup chicken broth
2 T Lemon Juice
2 T Butter, melted
1 tsp dried thyme leaves
1/4 cup butter
Directions
Preheat broiler oven, rinse fish & pat dry. Arrange in a single layer in greased baking pan. Pour broth on fish. Combine 2 T butter with Thyme and brush on fish. Place baking dish on broiler pan and put on oven rack 3-4 inches from heat.
Broil Fish, do not turn basting once or twice with remaining butter mixture. Cook 3-6 minutes for 1/2 to 3/4 inch or 6 to 10 minutes for 1 to 1 1/2 inch thick steaks. Melt 1/4 cup butter in small fry pan, add almonds stir until nuts begin to brown.
Remove from heat and add lemon juice. Pour over fish when ready to serve. Makes 6 servings This can also be used with Cod, bass, flounder, red snapper, shark or orange roughly.
